You can now broadcast video live from your 3G mobile phone to this web site for others to view. Your location will be indicated on the map.

The transmitted video will be geo-tagged and saved for future viewing on this web site.

• Travellers - share your moments with family and friends overseas, record and document your journey in videos.
• Businesses - promote your events, activities, locations, etc.

What do I need?

• A 3G mobile phone with camera (currently tested on Symbian S60 phones with GPS feature).
• Vaild 3G subscription.
• You must be in a 3G coverage area and be able to receive GPS information (usually outdoor or near to windows).

Where can I use the service?

• Currently, broadcasting can only be done in Singapore. However, viewers from anywhere in the world with Internet connection can see your live video on this web site when you broadcast.

How much does it costs?

• The service is free-of-charge. You pay for one SMS sent to us each time you request for a broadcast session at normal cost (about 5 cents or already bundled in your mobile subscription package). You will receive a video call from our server. The call is free if you have a free incoming call package. Otherwise, standard airtime charges applies (same rate as voice call). NO DATA CHARGES APPLICABLE.

How do I get started:

• Download and install our Mobile Geocast client on your Symbian S60 phone with GPS feature. You can download it from here. Refer to your phone manual on how to install a Java client.
• After installation, you should see the client "Geocast" on your phone. When you launch it for the first time, you will be asked to permit access to GPS and then to enter a nickname. After that, you simply choose the 'Send SMS' option each time you want to do a broadcast. A pre-compiled SMS will be sent from your phone to our server with the required information.
• After the SMS is sent, you should receive an incoming video call to your phone within 30 seconds. Answer the call and allow your video to be sent.
• Now, a blinking icon will show on the map indicating that you are broadcasting. Anyone on this web site can click on it and see you live!
• Please refer to screenshots sequence below:

1. You should see the "Geocast" client installed on your phone.
   
2. You must allow it to use the GPS data.
   
3. Enter a nickname (it will be shown on the web site to identify you).
   
4. Here's how it should look... but
   
5. You must receive GPS data - with the longitude and latitude shown on the screen (go outdoor, if needed)
   
6. From Options, select 'Send'
   
7. You must also authorize the SMS
   
8. In about 30 seconds, you will receive a video call from our server (make sure you are in 3G coverage)
   
9. Answer the call and allow video image to be sent.
   
10. You are now broadcasting live! Others can now see and hear you on this web site.
    
11. To stop the session, just hang up the call.
